  3. You need to prepare 2-3 of green chillies chopped.
  4. Prepare 1 of medium onion chopped fine.
  5. You need to prepare 1 clove of garlic chopped fine.
  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
  7. Prepare 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder.
  8. You need to prepare 3-4 Tbsp of mustard oil.
  9. Prepare of Salt as per taste.

  1. Wash the Kathal bichi few times. Clean and devein the shrimps, wash and smear with turmeric, red chilli powder and salt. Set it aside. Chop the onions, garlic and green chillies.
  2. Boil the Kathal bichi in pressure cooker in two whistles and drain and set aside. Put in a blender and blend coarsely. In a wok heat mustard oil and add green chillies, onion and garlic and add the shrimps. Fry for 2-3 mins..
  3. Add the blended Kathal bichi to the chringri. Stir well and add salt and stir one more time..
  4. Cool the whole mix.
  5. Put the Chingri and Kathal bichi to the blender and mash. Don’t make it smooth but coarse. Drizzle with mustard oil before serving with rice.
