Ingredients of Raw Jackfruit Biryani

  1. Prepare 5 gm of wheat dough to make clay pot seal.
  2. You need to prepare 250 gm of Raw Jackfruit (kathal), cut into small pieces.
  3. You need to prepare 5 Tbsp of Cooking oil.
  4. Prepare 5-6 Tbsp of Desi Ghee.
  5. You need to prepare 150 gm of Basmati Rice.
  6. Prepare 4 of big onion.
  7. You need to prepare 2 of big tomatoes.
  8. You need to prepare 3 of green chillies.
  9. Prepare 3 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
  10. Prepare 2 tbsp of Garam Masala Powder.
  11. Prepare 1 tbsp of Red chilli powder.
  12. Prepare 1 tbsp of Turmeric powder.
  13. You need to prepare 1 tbsp of Coriander Powder.
  14. Prepare 2 of black cardamoms.
  15. You need to prepare 2 of cloves.
  16. You need to prepare 7-8 strands of saffron soaked in milk.

Raw Jackfruit Biryani directions

  1. Cut jackfruit into small pieces and fry until it becomes soft and golden brown. In the meantime soak Basmati Rice in water.
  2. For jackfruit Sabzi: Add oil in Kadhai. Once it's becomes hot, add onion paste made of 2 onions and fry it until golden brown, after that add ginger garlic paste and fry until it's rawness is gone. Also add crushed green chillies along with ginger garlic paste. Add tomato puree and red chilli, coriander, Turmeric powder. Cook, until masala leaves oil from sides of Kadhai. Add jackfruit and some water to masala. at this time add Salt, Garam Masala and cook for 20-25 min until jackfruit is tender.
  3. For Rice: Cook the soaked rice in 5-6 big cups of water. Put black cardmom and clove in water. Strain the water when rice is cooked 3/4th..
  4. Slice the remaining 2 onions and fry in 2 Tbsp of pure ghee until golden brown and crispy. Keep aside.
  5. For assembling Biryani : Put 3 tbsp of ghee in the clay pot. Spread some rice over the ghee. And then add Jackfruit sabzi over rice, spread rice over sabzi.Spread 1/2 tbsp of ghee, some crispy fried onion over the rice. Repeat this until all sabzi and rice is over and min. 3 layers are made.
