  1. You need to prepare 4 (390 gms) of Ripe Plums.
  2. Prepare 1(140 GMs) of Apple.
  3. You need to prepare 3/4 cup (180 GMs) of Sugar.
  4. Prepare 1 pinch of salt.
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp of Lemon juice.
  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Cinnamon powder.
  7. Prepare 1 of small cinnamon stick.

This jam is very tasty, fragrant, thick and has a slight acidity. It is perfect for any baking. And this plum and apple jam mixes two of my favourite fruits. Throw in the added spices and this tasty jam makes the winter months far more cozy.

  1. Take the sugar in a big steel bowl. Chop the plums discard the seed....and add into it. Peel the apple and chop that too..
  2. Add cinnamon powder, salt and lemon juice also and mix well and let it rest for at least an hour. This will help in softening and breaking down the fruit..
  3. After an hour put it on the flame. Once it comes to boil, put the flame on medium low flame and cook it, stirring it frequently. After 20 minutes, smash the softened and cooked fruits with a potato smasher or a ladle till it breaks down (I have used a potato smasher as seen in pic). Cook for another 10 minutes or so..
  4. Now you will see the jam has reduced and thickened. Run the spatula from one end to the other end, you will see that the jam will not come back flooding. That means your jam is ready. Once ready pour it in clean dry bottle or glass bowl whatever you have. Enjoy with your breads or bake something delicious!!! Bon Appetit!!!.
